It is one of the oldest pigs in Europe. The first records of Mangalice date back to 1830. Allegedly, during the Serbian-Hungarian Empire, the Serbian prince brought several Sumadom pigs, who crossed them with the pigs Bakony and Fatima. So "curly hair" was originally reserved for the Habsburg imperial court, but thanks to its unique flavor it has become popular since the 19th century. Century. By the end of the 18th century it became one of the most important species in Europe. The breed was officially recognized in 1927.

Mangalica is one of the largest pigs. Compared with other breeds of pigs whose fat does not exceed 50, their fat accounts for 65% of their weight.

Mangalice meat is reddish, creamy, white oily, sliced. It is rich in omega-3 and 6 fatty acids (polyunsaturated fatty acids). For this reason, it is healthier than the fat of white pigs used in traditional farming and also has a beneficial effect on heart health. Due to the large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, the fat is melting at a lower temperature compared to other pig fat, and these benefits are also used by the world's best cooks for cooking culinary delights.

His ham has a lot of nutritional value. It is rich in high quality protein that is easy to digest. It also includes:
